QbTest is an evidence-based and FDA cleared objective tool used in the evaluation of patients
with ADHD symptoms. There is no single test for ADHD; however, QbTest objectively assesses
the three core symptoms identified in the DSM V criteria for the diagnosis of ADHD. The test
is standardized, and the results are reproducible over time.
QbTest reduces delay in
diagnostic process , lowers the chances of under over diagnostics and minimizes the
possibility of age and gender bias. It can measure the response to treatment with later
retests. During the test head motion is measured down to 1mm while the patient performs a
continuous performance test measuring visual attention to a mundane task. The results are
then compared to an age and gender matched normative group. The motion parameters are the
most sensitive and specific findings on QbTest for ADHD diagnosis and determination of
treatment response.
QbTest can also be used to assess the level of control of ADHD
symptoms over time. The clinician may use the test to objectively consider improvement or
worsening
of symptoms. The Ability Test is performed to assess patient understanding, comprehension,
and cognitive ability to adequately perform the task. The Ability Test provides a score that
is utilized to make a determination regarding the patient‘s capability of understanding and
complying with instructions and physical ability to complete a valid test.
It will be taking a computer-based test that lasts either 15 or 20 minutes. This test focuses on the three main symptoms of ADHD: activity levels, attention span, and impulsivity. Your results will be compared to a control group of individuals of the same age and sex who don’t have ADHD. And the best part? You will get your results right away in a detailed report!

What is QbTest?
QbTest is a diagnostic tool used to assess attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) in children and adults. It combines objective measurements of attention, impulsivity, and activity levels with standard clinical assessments to provide a comprehensive evaluation.
How does it work?
QbTest involves a short, engaging task where the individual interacts with a computer while wearing a special motion-tracking device. The test measures how well the individual can focus on tasks, control impulses, and manage their activity levels over a 15-20 minute session. The results are then compared to normative data to help identify ADHD symptoms.
Is it safe?
Yes, QbTest is considered safe for individuals of all ages. It is a non-invasive test that poses no risk to the participant. The technology used is widely accepted and adheres to strict safety guidelines.
How long does it take?
The QbTest itself takes approximately 15-20 minutes. However, the entire appointment, including setup, instructions, and discussion of results, may take about 1 hour.
Who can benefit from QbTest?
QbTest can be beneficial for children, adolescents, and adults who are experiencing symptoms of ADHD or who need a comprehensive evaluation for diagnosis.
What should I expect during the QbTest appointment?
During your appointment, a trained professional will explain the testing process, ensure you are comfortable, and assist you with the motion-tracking device. After the test, they will discuss the results and next steps.
Do I need to prepare for the QbTest?
No, specific preparation is required. However, it's recommended that you arrive well-rested and ready to engage with the tasks during the test. If you are currently taking stimulant medications for ADHD, please consult your provider beforehand to determine if you need to temporarily stop them prior to the test.
How is QbTest different from traditional ADHD assessments?
Unlike traditional assessments that often rely solely on self-reports or questionnaires, QbTest provides objective data on attention, activity, and impulsivity, which can help clinicians make more informed decisions.
